Those self-aggrandizing lawmakers from DC & Cali are getting more comfortable with the idea of trying to dictate the kinds of cars that we "should" drive. Luxury taxes, artificially jacked up fuel prices, poorly conceived EPA laws, phony carbon foot-prints, IDIOTS in the media, & Eco-terrorism are the punishment that we must pay for the low caliber of our elected lawmakers.
(Green is the new RED)
Too many folks have no understanding of the increased risk in owning a small car. Ignorance of the Laws of Inertia is no defense in an accident situation & this photo proves it.
These Washington Pols are no better than the media-wags who eschew the "Big 3's" cars, but pay homage to these little imported turd-toasters or some gob of Euro-trash with a nice suspension. They're still trying to dupe the American public into believing that global is good. Stuff the "Cash for Clunkers" nonsense, with about half of our tax money going overseas, it looks like just another foreign aid program. I'll keep my hot rods, muscle cars, & SUVs, thanks.
Guys, our lawmakers & your girlfriend are not telling you the truth... SIZE MATTERS!!!

After getting lost in the streets of Racine, WI a frazzled, young intern tried to navigate the 27 foot long Weinermobile out of a dead-end street with little success. In her haste & confusion, she forgot to put the vehicle in Reverse. When she hit the gas it caused the vehicle to lurch forward, allowing the huge sausage to penetrate the opening in front of it. The local tow truck driver only grinned when asked if he'd ever pulled out a weiner this big before.
This is the 2nd accident involving Oscar Mayer's rolling billboard in 2 years, the previous one occurred when the slippery frank spun out on a PA highway during a snow storm.

Over 80,000 collector cars, a million spectators, hundreds of street vendors, Classic Rock 'n' Roll blasting from every building, & TONS of fun is what the
Woodward Dream Cruise is all about.
Much to the delight of us local gearheads, guys & gals have already started cruising the Avenue on Friday & Saturday nights. You'll see every marque of muscle car, hot rods of every shape, & restored antique cars & trucks rolling up & down the street up until midnight every weeknd now.
Those of us in Detroit have all seen the posters that GM has used to help promote the car craziness of the event. There have been some really great ones that have popped up over the years. The guys @ Singlefinger have collected most of them for your enjoyment & posted them in our club's Forum.
Check out the rest of the posters in our Forum. Seeya out there!

Based on today's court rulings, General Motors is on track to exit bankruptcy tomorrow! Everybody in this town understands that the new GM, like the new Chrysler, will be radically different from the old Corps (corpses) that they left behind. All those who earn their living in Detroit's auto industry are hoping that "the new GM & the new Chrysler" can both set a course for success.
Loads of folks in this town could use some good news for a change.
